Is there a Privasee Connect app for iPhone?

When one is available it is linked at the top of this page; until then OpenVPN Connect and WireGuard from the App Store connect to the same network with the same profiles.

How do I get the .ovpn file onto my iPhone?

Download it in Safari from the config generator and choose "Open in OpenVPN", or AirDrop it from a Mac, or save it to Files and open it from there.

Can I use WireGuard on iOS?

Not yet. WireGuard keys are issued to our own apps per device, and the iPhone app is the one still in progress. OpenVPN Connect with a .ovpn profile connects to every location today.

Why does iOS only let me have one VPN active?

iOS allows one VPN configuration to be connected at a time. Switching locations means disconnecting one profile and connecting another, which OpenVPN Connect does from its profile list.

Set up a VPN on iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad the VPN runs through Apple's Network Extension, so it needs a client from the App Store: OpenVPN Connect, the official client from OpenVPN Inc. A .ovpn profile from your dashboard, opened on the device, imports in a couple of taps and can be switched on from Settings like any other VPN.

iPhone / iPad

There is no Privasee VPN app for this platform, so use any OpenVPN client with a .ovpn profile. The profile carries the location, your certificate and every setting already filled in.

Install "OpenVPN Connect" from the App Store.
AirDrop, e-mail or save the .ovpn file to Files on the device.
Open the file and choose "Copy to OpenVPN".
Press ADD in OpenVPN Connect.
Toggle the connection on and allow the VPN configuration prompt.

Profiles come from the config generator (sign in first). Generate one per device — that way losing a device means revoking just that profile.

iOS only allows one active VPN profile at a time.

Troubleshooting

AUTH_FAILED right after connecting

The certificate is fine but the account was rejected: an expired subscription, a revoked device, or too many simultaneous connections. Check your dashboard.

TLS handshake keeps timing out

UDP is probably blocked on that network. Use the TCP profile - it runs on port 443 and looks like ordinary HTTPS traffic to most filters.

Connected but no internet

Usually a DNS problem. Confirm the client applied the pushed DNS server, and on Windows keep block-outside-dns on.

Speeds are poor

Try a closer location and prefer UDP. TCP-over-TCP is slow by design and should only be a fallback.
